Luckily, there are a growing number of cordless solutions on the market in modern times. The DCF403 rivet tool provides up to 2100 lbf of pulling force thanks to its brushless motor. It’s the less powerful of DeWalt’s rivet tools, ideal for tradesmen who don’t need all the bells and whistles of DeWalt’s flagship rivet tool.

You can pull up to 800 rivets on a single charge with a DCB203 battery, and it’s compatible with a variety of rivet sizes up to 3/16 inches in diameter. A 0.98-inch stroke length also lets you fasten rivets in one stroke.

DeWalt’s top-of-the-line power rivet tool, the DCF414 more than doubles the pulling force of the brand’s other model, delivering up to 4500 lbf of pulling force. Like the DCF403, this model uses a brushless motor.

It’s compatible with a variety of aluminum, steel, and stainless steel blind rivets up to 1/4 inch in thickness. Additionally, you can pull up to 300 rivets per charge with a DCP034 battery. This tool also has a stroke length of 1.18 inches, letting you fasten rivets in one stroke.

DeWalt describes both tools as lightweight and compact, weighing a highly-manageable 3.6 pounds. Both tools feature the same design features, including a tool-free nose change and onboard nose piece storage.

A mandrel collector with a translucent lid sits at the back of the tool to consolidate your mandrels and create less mess around your work area. To top it off, an LED work light provides more visibility in lower-light areas.

The DCF403 rivet tool is available as a bare tool for $299 and as a kit with a 2.0Ah battery and charger for $369. The more powerful DCF414 retails for $799 as a bare tool and $959 as a kit with a 5.0Ah battery and charger. DeWalt backs your purchase with a 3-year warranty and 1 year of free service.
