Buffer modes
 
There are always three choices of buffer modes.  Depending on the type of study area (point, line, area), different ways of buffering can be done:

From centroid

From centroid - the distance of the buffer will be done from the centroid of the study area.

From border

From border - the distance of the buffer will be measured from the outside border of the study area.

Inside Area

3. Inside Area
Inside area - the calculation will only be based in the inside of the study area.
